Dukosi DK-NFLNK™ Brings Safety, Reliability and Scalability to Traditional Modular Battery Architectures
DK-NFLNK™ Contactless Communication Solution is Available for Customer Sampling and Battery Development
EDINBURGH, United Kingdom, 29 September, 2026 — Dukosi Ltd, the technology company revolutionizing the performance, safety and sustainability of high-power battery systems, announces the availability of DK-NFLNK™ contactless communication solution for development of safer, more reliable batteries based on traditional multi-channel analog front end (AFE) designs. DK-NFLNK™ is AFE agnostic and provides a simple upgrade path from traditional wired or far field wireless BMS architectures to a highly scalable and robust battery communication solution with no change required to the battery architecture. DK-NFLNK eliminates traditional wiring and fault prone connectors with a single bus antenna and offers synchronous, module-level measurements from the AFEs to the BMS host using Dukosi’s proprietary contactless communication protocol based on C-SynQ®. Dukosi’s novel and highly flexible contactless solution is available for customer sampling and development of battery systems for electric vehicles (xEV), industrial and marine applications, robotics and battery energy storage systems for utility and grid-scale projects, telecom infrastructure and AI data centers.
“Dukosi’s unique smart cell monitoring solutions and proprietary C-SynQ communication protocol has gained significant market adoption, and we continue to find new problems that our technology can solve for our customers. DK-NFLNK and the Dukosi Cell Monitoring System (DKCMS®) share a common communication foundation, C-SynQ, giving battery designers an easy migration path to full DKCMS-enabled Smart Cell battery designs. As such, we have been able to effectively move DK-NFLNK from the proof-of-concept debuted at embedded world in March towards product availability, with samples for key customers and new DK-NFLNK Evaluation Kits (EVKs) available now. We’re providing customers a cost-efficient upgrade path for modular designs to full DKCMS-enabled Smart Cell batteries in future.”
Joseph Notaro, President
Dukosi’s DK-NFLNK is an intra-battery communication solution that consists of the DK8503 Node chip, DK8203 System Hub chip, the Dukosi API, and Dukosi’s proprietary contactless communication protocol based on C-SynQ®. DK-NFLNK creates a contactless communication channel between the Battery Management System (BMS) Host processor and a traditional multi-channel Analog Front End (AFE). The DK8503 Node interfaces directly with the AFE via a standard SPI connection and is AFE agnostic. DK-NFLNK transfers data to and from each AFE and the BMS Host processor via the Dukosi DK8203 System Hub through a single bus antenna. The near field communication implementation minimizes RF power levels, simplifying mechanical integration considerations. With inherent electrical isolation through the contactless network, DK-NFLNK delivers wired-like performance in a reliable star-network. The same BMS host processor and DK8203 System Hub can be reused across multiple battery pack designs. A common DK-NFLNK library and API support all configurations minimizing software development and maintenance across the business, while maintaining consistent RF performance. DK8503 and DK8203 are AEC-Q100 certified and designed to be ASIL C compliant.
The Dukosi DK-NFLNK™ Evaluation Kit (EVK) and Graphical User Interface (GUI) is designed to enable battery pack developers and BMS designers to evaluate the advantages of Dukosi technology and discover its ease of integration into existing and future battery pack designs. It supports technology evaluation and initial proof-of-concept development across a growing range of BMS host processors and AFE devices.
