DKCMS Core
Dukosi Cell Monitoring System
Overview
The DKCMS™ Core enables a robust, contactless cell monitoring solution for high voltage battery packs in a variety of applications. The overall system consists of Cell Monitors, a System Hub, and the DKCMS Library API which runs on the BMS Host. The Cell Monitors make accurate, synchronous, on-cell measurements, process the data, and send it to the BMS main controller (Host) via the System Hub. Communication between the Cell Monitors and System Hub uses Dukosi’s proprietary C-SynQ® protocol via near-field RF using a single bus antenna.
DKCMS Core Cell Monitor (DK8102-AQ-25)
- Per cell voltage measurement with ±0.6 mV total measurement error (TME)
- Multiple temperature measurements per cell:
- On-chip die temperature sensor
- Inputs to support up to two Thermistors
- Configurable min/max limits with limit breach reporting
- Passive cell balancing with configurable stop mechanisms
- Active, Low Power, and Hibernate operating modes
- Fault reporting
- Cell Passport, enabling lifetime on-chip storage of cell data
- Unique Device ID stored on-chip
- AEC-Q100 qualified
DKCMS Core System Hub (DK8202-AR-25)
- Each System Hub can manage up to 216 Cell Monitors
- Manges secure, robust, near field contactless communication to the Cell Monitors via a single RF bus antenna, utilizing Dukosi’s proprietary C-SynQ protocol
- Synchronizes Cell Monitor measurements across the entire pack
- Adaptive channel hopping, with automatic or manual channel masking
- Automatic network recovery feature
- RF diagnostics and configurable transmit power levels
- Industry standard SPI connection to the BMS Host controller
- Wake-on-fault notifications for when the BMS is in a sleep mode
- Unique Device ID stored on-chip
- AEC-Q100 qualified
