About Dukosi

Dr. Mark Pinto is a technology industry executive who has led diverse, innovative organizations in semiconductors, telecommunications, large area displays and renewable energy.

Before assuming the role as Dukosi CEO, he served on Dukosi’s Board of Directors and was an Operating Partner with the investment firm KCK-US. Prior, he was President and CEO of Blue Danube Systems, a novel 5G radio system start-up that was acquired by NEC Corporation in 2022. From 2004 to 2013, Mark was an Executive Vice President at Applied Materials where he initiated the company’s solar business, and also served as Applied’s CTO.

Mark is a Fellow of the IEEE and a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and is the recipient of several prestigious engineering and business awards.

Joel founded Dukosi in 2003 to transform the performance, safety, and sustainability of battery energy storage systems. Joel is the key inventor of Dukosi technology and holds 61 patents.

Prior to Dukosi, he was Head of Electronics at the UK Astronomy Technology Centre, designing electronic systems for imagers and spectrometers, and at Elektrobit designing systems and circuits for the communications industry. He is a specialist in systems engineering and mixed signal integrated circuit design in many projects, including battery management systems.

Joseph is an accomplished technology industry executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in semiconductors and the automotive sector. Joseph has successfully led business and market development, strategy, R&D, and worldwide sales organizations. He has extensive international experience across the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe.

Prior to joining Dukosi, Joseph held various management and executive positions at STMicroelectronics, Fairchild, onsemi, and most recently as CCO at Baraja, a global LiDAR technology company, where he led sales, business development, marketing, and customer success groups in engaging with automotive OEM, tier-1 and ecosystem partners.

Stephen is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of manufacturing operations experience in the semiconductor industry. He specializes in developing supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence and sustainable, high-impact results. Stephen has managed multi-million-dollar budgets and has expertise in supply chain management, product and cost engineering, quality, reliability, and failure analysis initiatives.

His career spans semiconductor startups, scale-ups, and billion-dollar multi-national corporations, including Motorola SPS, Wolfson Microelectronics, Cirrus Logic and Kandou.

Mark is a highly driven professional with more than 25 years of leadership experience in strategic marketing and business development in the semiconductor industry. Whether mixed signal ICs and SoCs or complete system solutions, he has a proven track record of managing highly complex products and platforms as well as growing revenue and profit in consumer, industrial, and automotive markets.

Prior to joining Dukosi, he held senior positions at major companies in the semiconductor industry from startups and scaleups to large multi-billion-dollar companies, including XMOS, Renesas, Dialog Semiconductor, Frontier Silicon, and Sony Semiconductor.

Simon is a semiconductor industry professional with over 20 years of experience in ASIC design. He has a strong track record of delivering high-performance silicon solutions to mass volume, from concept through to production. Simon has significant experience working with Tier 1 customers, ensuring technical excellence aligns with commercial requirements. His expertise spans the full development cycle and combines deep technical insight with effective team leadership and customer engagement.

He has built and led engineering teams across start-ups and public global companies, and his career includes key roles at Wolfson Microelectronics, Cadence, Calvatec, and Maxim Integrated Products.

Mariacristina brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the semiconductor industry to Dukosi. Cristina is a Senior Global Quality Director known for her strategic thinking, strong leadership ability, and quality methodology expertise. Rooted in a strong scientific and technological foundation, she applies deep technical knowledge of semiconductor processes and automotive standards with strategic vision to drive company success in highly demanding environments, particularly within the automotive sector.

She holds a university degree in chemistry plus several certifications, and she has received several awards in the Automotive industry.

Angus has over 25 years of technical leadership experience in the semiconductor and microelectronics industry. He combines strategic thinking, deep technical knowledge, and strong leadership skills to lead product development teams from definition to high volume production.

Before joining Dukosi in 2020, Angus was Director of Engineering at Cirrus Logic, and, previously, Senior Development Director at Wolfson Microelectronics where he was responsible for analogue and digital design, verification, test, layout, place and route, design for test and project management functions across multiple sites. Angus received his Masters of Electronic Engineering from the University of Edinburgh.

Gavin, with over two decades of experience in the semiconductor industry, combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive innovation, product development and team growth. He began his career at Wolfson Microelectronics, gaining broad experience across analogue, DSP, and full ASIC development, taking projects from concept to production. Later at Maxim, Gavin expanded his architectural and leadership capabilities. Prior to joining Dukosi in 2020,  he was at Cirrus Logic where he built and led a new business unit development team.

Gavin received his Masters of Electronic Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. He holds more than 10 patents, has published several papers in technical journals and presents at technical conferences.

Amanda is a HR professional with almost a decade of experience in managing recruitment, staffing, learning and development and talent management process. As Head of People, she works closely with the management teams across the business to develop great talent, support sustainable growth, and shape Dukosi as a workplace that balances innovation with humanity.

Amanda applies her strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical and organizational skills to design and implement successful recruitment strategies, and works collaboratively with key stakeholders to attract, select and retain the best talent.

Robbie is a chartered accountant with over 10 years’ experience in finance roles across multiple international markets. His experience spans financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, and driving data-informed decision-making.

He began his career at PwC, where he built a strong foundation in audit and working with a diverse portfolio of global clients. During his career, he has developed valuable cross-cultural expertise and a deep understanding of global financial operations.  Prior to joining Dukosi, Robbie worked for FTSE listed wealth and investments group Aberdeen Group Plc, Deloitte and PwC.
