Following a significant investment from IP Group plc, Par Equity and Scottish Enterprise in late 2014, Edinburgh based battery management system developer Dukosi has today announced the appointment of a new Chairman.
Based at Edinburgh Technopole Innovation Park in Midlothian, Scotland, Dukosi is developing innovative battery management technology with applications in multiple energy environments. The use of rechargeable batteries is set to grow significantly over many industry sectors, for example in electric and hybrid vehicles, where demand is predicted to rise from 2.7million vehicles in 2014 to 6.4million by 20231.
The new chairman, Clive Scrivener, brings with him a wealth of experience with a track record in high growth, international businesses in multiple industry sectors. Most recently Clive was Chief Executive of Prodrive, an international company specialising in developing automotive technologies, design and build of vehicles and systems, motorsport and carbon composites.
Dukosi CEO, Gordon Povey said:
“We have recently completed extensive trials of our battery management technology at university test facilities and are now installing this into the battery pack of our own electric road vehicle, ahead of further trials later this year. We are hiring additional specialist engineering staff and are delighted to have Clive on board to help us deliver our exciting plans”
